Asthma, Inflammation and Cancer

Many many years ago, Rudolf Virchow (a 19th century leader in medicine and pathology) linked inflammation with cancer and a new study out this year suggests that chronic inflammation from asthma may be one of the reasons why people with asthma are 36% more likely to get cancer (and not just lung cancer).

This reinforces why I am passionate about finding better life balance, making appropriate lifestyle changes and breathing in a way that endeavours to create a soothing and safe environment for our cells to work in, reduce chronic inflammation and ease asthma symptoms.
